Amazon Adds Object Expiration to S3
http://aws.typepad.com/aws/2011/12/amazon-s3-object-expiration.html
S3’s new Object Expiration function allows you to define rules to schedule the removal of your objects after a pre-defined time period. The rules are specified in the Lifecycle Configuration policy that you apply to a bucket. You can update this policy through the S3 API or from the AWS Management Console.
Try Netbeans PHP IDE for WordPress Development
http://www.wpmayor.com/articles/best-ide-for-wordpress-development/
For fully-fledged regular WordPress development [try] using Netbeans for PHP. It has features like code completion, easy WordPress function reference, project management, database editing, file comparison, FTP, debugging facilities and much more. It can also be extended through plugins available on the Netbeans website. Having all these features integrated into one IDE makes it easier on the developer as it eliminates the need to switch to other windows to access applications (for example Filezilla, PHPMyAdmin etc.)

- Seeing how long it takes to create a new index for > 4 million row MySQL table. Currently at 10+ minutes and counting. #
- And the results are in: Query OK, 4605252 rows affected (13 min 4.84 sec). Now, will it take twice that on twice as many rows? #
- Classcaster updated, securities supplement tweaked, Lesson run report reformatted, parameters for new index in MySQL set. Calling it a day. #

- @sglassmeyer Sure, learning to code in a day is possible. Especially for a basic web app. You can learn lots of stuff in a day. #
- @sglassmeyer We've done stuff like that before w/ CALI Author, Drupal, etc. Probably "Learn PowerPoint in a Day" for faculty would work. #
- @sglassmeyer Or "Build Your Own Casebook" would be interesting. #
- rebuilding a server using .bash_history as a guide. Most certainly a level up on my Geek ranking. But not something I'd like to do again. #
- @johnpmayer @liicornell How are proposals for @LVI2012 to be submitted? Web site isn't live yet is it? #
- @sglassmeyer @johnpmayer I think he put them in a google doc on the staff drive somewhere. #

- Yes I've a copy of "The Chicago Manual of Style" on my shelf, right next to "Introduction to Indexing and Abstracting" b/c I'm a book nerd. #
- Just wondering if it absolutely required that a web browser suck the life out of a PC. I now need to restart Chrome every few hrs. #
